Key Responsibilities:
Complete comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and regularly throughout your shift, considering the physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs of each individual. Develop and continuously update individualized care plans; reassess and document patient progress and responses to interventions. Safely administer medications, closely monitor effects, and maintain strict adherence to protocols for high-risk drugs. Conduct and document treatments and nursing procedures following infection control, hospital policy, and patient privacy standards. Educate patients and families using evidence-based resources and tailor teaching to assessed needs. Collaborate in multidisciplinary planning; communicate clinical changes swiftly and effectively using SBAR methods. Maintain compliance with safety goals, orientation to emergency protocols, and documentation standards for all patient interactions. Manage care for patients of all ages, prioritizing needs in critical and routine situations within the Emergency Department.Stay current with required certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC
(TNCC/ATCN/CEN preferred).Qualifications:
Active, unencumbered RN license Minimum of one year recent ER experience Proven competency across the age continuum—birth to geriatrics Completion of ED skills checklist by first scheduled shift Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills Knowledge of rapid response, lifesaving protocols, and ED flow dynamicsBenefits & Travel Perks:
