1 Description American Traveler is seeking a PACU RN with a valid CA RN license and at least 2 years of PACU experience for a day-shift assignment in a busy acute care hospital. Details Acute care hospital setting with 320 staffed beds PACU unit covering Phase I and Phase II Recovery Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours (9:00 AM-7:30 PM) No on-call requirement Schedule runs Monday through Friday with flexibility required for any assigned day; block scheduling not available Patient ratio of 1:2 Floating between sister facilities may be required Facility may call off staff once per two-week pay period Requirements Active CA RN license required Certifications required:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required; 3+ years required for first-time travelers Epic EMR experience required Experience across a wide variety of surgical cases preferred, including cardiac, ortho, neuro, vascular, GI, GYN, ENT, and plastics Travel experience preferred unless candidate has 3+ years of specialty experience Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting Additional Information RN scrub color is royal blue Free parking available on-site Must be willing to float between sister facilities within the health system if needed Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application Local candidates accepted at a reduced bill rate within a 50-mile radius Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility Candidates must disclose any prior employment (permanent, travel, or per diem) at a Providence facility, including location and dates
