Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting an elementary school student as a dedicated Registered Nurse. This role offers you the chance to make a meaningful difference in a child's daily school experience—including riding the bus to and from school to ensure ongoing safety and care. Your expertise in managing seizure disorders will provide essential support and peace of mind for both the student and their family throughout each school day.
Desired Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted RN license in California Prior experience in a school setting or pediatric nursing Demonstrated proficiency in seizure management and emergency response Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations Comfortable with providing care during transportation (bus ride required)
Responsibilities:
Oversee the medical needs of a single elementary-age student Administer seizure intervention protocols and provide direct care as needed Make critical decisions during health-related emergencies Ensure safe transportation by accompanying the student on the school bus, to and from school Document daily health status, interventions, and any incidents accurately Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and the student's family regarding care plans Promote a supportive, inclusive, and safe educational environment This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse who values a focused, one-on-one care experience and thrives in collaborative school environments.
