Step Down Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse to join our team in the Step Down unit. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in critical condition and assist in their recovery process. This role requires attention to detail, strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess patients' conditions in the Step Down unit 2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians 3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans 4. Educate patients and their families on treatment options and post-discharge care 5. Respond to medical emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed 6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records 7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and quality care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice 2. ACLS and BLS certifications 3. Prior experience in an intensive care or coronary care unit 4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills 5. Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively 6. Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills 7.
