Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-PACU Job Type Contract Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care in a dynamic surgical recovery environment. Skilled PACU RNs ensure patient safety, comfort, and support as individuals transition from anesthesia to conscious recovery. Rely on your expertise and clinical judgment to manage post-operative patients, monitor vital signs, and collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow healthcare professionals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Active RN license with credentials appropriate for PACU settings Proven experience in PACU or surgical recovery nursing Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor post-operative patients for signs of complications and administer appropriate interventions Assess airway, breathing, and neurological status immediately after surgery Manage pain, nausea, and other post-surgical concerns according to established protocols Accurately document all care delivered and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team Support patients and families during the immediate post-surgical period with clear information and reassurance Maintain a safe, efficient, and clean recovery environment This contract position offers a valuable chance to further develop your skills in a fast-paced PACU setting.
