Nursing Specialty:

Labor & Delivery (L&D) RN RN

L&D Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period, including monitoring maternal and fetal conditions. Assist physicians and healthcare providers with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, procedures, and management of obstetric emergencies. Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered, while monitoring patient response and changes in condition. Provide immediate newborn care and monitoring following delivery, as needed. Educate and support patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care. Maintain accurate patient documentation and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe, timely, and quality patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have current licensure with the CA Board of Registered Nursing Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field. BLS and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program Minimum of one (1) year related work experience within the last 3 years Five (5) plus years of recent experience (must have occurred within the last two (2) years) in Labor and Delivery is preferred but not required One (1) year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two (2) years High Risk OB experience preferred Additional certifications may be required Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
