Job Description
Registered Nurse (OR) Description We are seeking an OR Registered Nurse to join our highly credentialed and well-established surgery center. The OR Registered Nurse is directly responsible for patient care during surgeries. RNs must exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making skills. They are expected to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the physician. Candidates are expected to demonstrate initiative in performing responsibilities of this position. Responsibilities Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Setting up the Operating Room according to the preference cards
Providing the Anesthesiologist with narcotics and medications
Verifying NPO status, allergies and dentures
Maintaining fluid management for Scope cases
Assisting with the safe transfer to PAR
IV sedation procedures, specimen labeling, and basic endoscopy room procedures
Experience
Minimum of two years experience preferred
License/Certification
Current California Registered Nurse license
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificate
Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certificate
