About Us:
The Pediatric Inpatient Oncology Unit, also known as Craycroft, specializes in oncology, hematology, rheumatology, renal, diabetic, and endocrine disorders. With 35 beds, Craycroft is uniquely designed to meet the needs of patients requiring isolation or those with mobility challenges. The unit features private rooms, each with a high-efficiency filter system to protect patients with weakened immune systems, and accommodations for overnight family stays. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals, blending medical expertise, cutting-edge technologies, and empathy, is committed to providing comprehensive, supportive, and compassionate care to guide patients and families through their journey with the utmost care and understanding.
Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for providing competent nursing care. Responsible for coordination of the patient's plan of care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions that lead to established outcomes. This position practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.

Education Program Accredited nursing program (required) Bachelors Degree Nursing (preferred) Licenses and Certifications RN

- Basic Life Support
- AHA•American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required) PEARS•Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization•AHA•American Heart Association For employees hired into Apollo, Craycroft, Discovery, Explorer, and Peds Rehab.
within 12 months of hire or transfer into position (required) Work Experience Experience to correlate with Clinical Advancement Program (required) Skills and Abilities Bilingual Skills Preferred.
