Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Operating Room Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career by contributing your expertise to a dynamic operating room environment. This contract opportunity in Northern California is designed for a skilled RN with demonstrated experience in surgical nursing. Work alongside a collaborative clinical team, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week guaranteed, with exceptions for specific holiday weeks (Independence Day, Labor Day - 32-hour weeks).
Qualifications:
Valid and active California RN license required Proven experience as an OR Circulator or in Operating Room nursing Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification TB clearance performed within the past 12 months Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Perform circulating duties in the operating room, ensuring all surgical procedures adhere to established protocols Monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures, responding quickly to any changes in condition Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia care providers, and other perioperative team members Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety practices Accurately document care and respond to physician orders in a timely manner Support a smooth workflow by preparing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment as required
