Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-ER Job Type Contract Take on a key leadership position overseeing emergency services in a dynamic healthcare environment on a contract basis. Utilizing your nursing expertise and strong management background, you will guide the emergency department's clinical operations while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday Guaranteed 40 hours per week
Qualifications:
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required BLS certification (current) Minimum of five years of experience working as an RN in an emergency room setting At least two years in a management or leadership role within emergency services TB clearance completed within the past 12 months
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide interim leadership and daily oversight to the emergency department's clinical and administrative functions Oversee compliance with state and facility regulations and policies Coordinate and supervise nursing and support staff, including scheduling and performance management Foster a culture of collaboration, professional growth, and high-quality patient care Ensure adequate resource allocation for efficient department operation Engage in quality improvement initiatives and develop process enhancements to elevate emergency services Respond promptly to patient care issues, escalations, and operational challenges in the ER environment
