EKG Certification Full Job Description Overview:
Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Telemetry Unit. This is a full-time, 12-hour day shift position reporting to the Critical Care Services Director.
Responsibilities:
The Telemetry RN provides care, treatment, counseling, and health education to the hospitalized patient. The RN is responsible for planning and coordinating care from admission through post-discharge. This planning and coordination includes meeting and exceeding compliance with core measures, contributing to a reduction in LOS, active participation with all aspects of quality, safety, and performance improvement activities, and collaboration with all the members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients, family members, physicians, and the public. Meets and exceeds CDPH, The Joint Commission (TJC), and other regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
BSN preferred. New graduates welcome, new graduate program offered, or six months of recent experience in an acute care setting preferred. Current CA RN license required. Current BLS and ACLS (AHA) required. EKG certification required.
