1 Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced GI/Endoscopy RN with moderate sedation and admissions experience for an outpatient endoscopy center position requiring an active CA RN license. Details Outpatient endoscopy center setting PreOp/Endo unit performing colonoscopy, EGD, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and esophageal varices/banding procedures Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM No weekend requirements On-call as needed Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active CA RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required Moderate sedation and admissions experience required Experience administering and monitoring conscious sedation, including Propofol, Versed, opioid analgesics, and reversal agents Skilled in airway management and post-procedure sedation recovery Experience with pre-procedure tasks including 12-lead EKG/ECG and starting/maintaining IVs Proficiency with endoscopy equipment including balloon dilators, dilators, electrosurgical units, ERBE units, forceps, and polyp snares Epic charting system experience required Additional Information Provides direct and indirect patient care to clinic patients and families using comprehensive nursing assessment, care planning, and education Delivers holistic, individualized care and collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team Communicates effectively with physicians, mid-level providers, and support staff to coordinate patient care Delegates tasks appropriately and provides orientation/training support to new staff as needed Assists with clinic operations including supply ordering and stocking Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to safety-focused care practices Holiday coverage may be required with only 1 holiday request approved per contract Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract Accepts local candidates at the local rate within a 50-mile radius Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before being eligible to return as a traveler First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
