Job Description

Elite Nursing Concierge Care | Independent Contractor Opportunity About the Opportunity Elite Nursing Concierge Care is seeking experienced, compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide exceptional one-on-one private duty nursing services in clients' home. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity specifically designed for LVNs with experience providing extended, individualized nursing care in private residences. Unlike traditional home health visits, our private duty nursing assignments involve providing continuous, hands-on care to one client for extended periods, typically 8 to 12 hours per assignment. Our clients expect a high level of clinical competency, professionalism, discretion, and personalized attention. Successful candidates understand the unique responsibilities of providing nursing care in a private home, where adaptability, sound clinical judgment, effective communication, and respect for household dynamics are essential. We are particularly interested in LVNs who have demonstrated experience managing the ongoing needs of a single client in a residential setting and who take pride in developing meaningful, professional relationships while delivering exceptional nursing care. Private Duty Nursing Responsibilities Provide dedicated, one-on-one nursing care to clients in private residential settings during extended 8- to 12-hour assignments. Monitor client condition, recognize changes in health status, and promptly communicate concerns to the clients appropriate supervising licensed clinician or physician. Administer prescribed medications and treatments within the LVN scope of practice and applicable physician-directed care plans. Provide ongoing support for clients with complex medical conditions, chronic illnesses, mobility limitations, and post-operative recovery needs. Monitor vital signs, observe changes in client condition, and maintain accurate, detailed clinical documentation. Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, repositioning, and mobility assistance as appropriate to the client's needs. Provide individualized nursing care throughout the assignment rather than performing brief, intermittent home health visits. Reinforce patient and family education regarding prescribed treatments, medications, and established care plans. Maintain effective communication with physicians, Registered Nurses, family members, caregivers, and other members of the client's care team. Adapt nursing care to the client's established routines, preferences, and home environment while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries. Maintain a safe, organized, and comfortable care environment. Respect client privacy, confidentiality, and the unique dynamics of working within a private household. Demonstrate sound clinical judgment, attentiveness, and professionalism when providing care without the immediate resources of a hospital or facility setting. Required Experience and Qualifications Current, active California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in good standing. Current BLS/CPR certification. Minimum of 3 years of professional LVN experience. Minimum of 2 years of private duty nursing, concierge nursing, or high-acuity in-home nursing experience. Previous experience providing continuous, one-on-one nursing care during extended 8- to 12-hour in-home assignments is required. Demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive nursing care to one client for extended periods in a private residential setting. Strong clinical observation, documentation, and communication skills. Experience caring for clients with complex medical needs, chronic conditions, or post-operative recovery requirements. Ability to work autonomously within the LVN scope of practice, applicable supervision requirements, and established physician-directed care plans. Reliable transportation and ability to travel to private residences.
Please note:
This opportunity requires prior experience providing extended one-on-one nursing care in a private home. Candidates whose experience consists exclusively of brief home health visits or facility-based nursing may not meet the experience requirements. What Makes a Successful Concierge LVN? Ideal candidates demonstrate:
One-on-One Care Experience:
Confidence providing continuous, individualized nursing care to a single client over an extended period.
Clinical Independence:
Strong observational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to recognize and communicate changes in condition.
Professionalism and Discretion:

Communication Excellence:
Clear, respectful communication with clients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Adaptability:
The ability to navigate different household environments, family dynamics, and individualized client preferences.
Consistency and Reliability:
A commitment to honoring accepted assignments and supporting continuity of care.
Compassion and Attentiveness:
A genuine interest in providing personalized care that supports client comfort, safety, and dignity. Physical Requirements Ability to safely assist with client mobility, repositioning, and transfers using appropriate equipment and techniques. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach while providing nursing services. Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as required by the specific assignment. Ability to respond appropriately to changes in client condition and emergency situations. Why Partner With Elite Nursing Concierge Care?
