Job Description

Our client is seeking an Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 56-day assignment in California, commencing Sep 2, 2026. This role involves working independent of Physician supervision, managing low acuity ER cases such as sutures, chest pain, abdominal pain, pelvic exams, lacerations, and headaches. The schedule operates on shifts from 10:45 AM - 9:15 PM. Responsibilities and Duties Work independent of Physician supervision. Evaluate and treat low acuity ER cases (fast track UC to ER role, but higher acuity patients than true UC). Perform sutures and manage lacerations. Assess patients presenting with chest pain (including 40 year olds), undifferentiated abdominal pain, and headaches. Conduct pelvic exams and eye exams (including using slit lamps). Manage occasional vertical 3 patients. Provide approval for technicians to perform splints.
