AM Nursing Specialty:

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RN Registered Nurse (RN)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and medically complex pediatric patients in the PICU. Monitor vital signs, oxygen levels, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, and overall patient condition. Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered and operate specialized pediatric monitoring and life-support equipment. Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with procedures, interventions, and emergency care. Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition, including pediatric emergencies. Provide age-appropriate care and support to patients and communicate with parents and families regarding the child's condition and plan of care. Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow hospital, safety, infection-control, and nursing protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have 5-year straight PICU (not floating) with cardiac experience to be considered. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. License, Certification, RegistrationRegistered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
