We're looking for a reliable and skilled Preop/PACU RN to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center, ensuring optimal preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care. This role requires strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. This role will be vital in the preparation for the surgery centers upcoming accreditation with QUAD A and Medicare deemed status prior to the planned opening.

Per-Diem; direct hire; permanent employee (with the possibility of developing into a Full-Time, benefits eligible position)

HOURS:

Clinic hours are currently Monday•Friday 8:00am•5:00pm, part-time employee will have hours within these operating clinic hours. Specific schedule can further be discussed during interviewing / hiring phase.

Depends on Experience ($40.00•$50.00 hourly)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in accreditation for QUAD A. Responsible for narcotics counts and logbook. Maintain a sterile and safe environment following infection control protocols. Document all nursing care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR). Adhere to all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team training. Responsible for Preoperative care, Intraoperative care, and Postoperative care:

Preoperative Care:

Assess patients before surgery, including reviewing medical history and obtaining necessary consents. Provide patient education on pre-surgical and post-surgical care instructions. Start IVs, administer preoperative medications, and ensure proper documentation.

Intraoperative Care:

Assist in surgical procedures by preparing instruments, supplies, and equipment. Monitor vital signs and respond to any intraoperative complications. Collaborate with the surgical team (surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs.)

Postoperative Care:

Monitor patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and assess for any complications. Provide pain management and ensure patients are stable before discharge. Educate patients and caregivers on post-surgical instructions and recovery care. Performs other related duties as assigned within the scope of the practice. REQUIREMENTS

Current RN license in California.

BLS & ACLS

certification (PALS preferred). Minimum of 2 years of perioperative, PACU, or critical care experience (preferred). Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, anesthesia care, and patient safety. Excellent communication (written & oral), organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements. Ability to work independently as well as a team player is required. Excellent attention to detail and highly organized. This position requires scheduling flexibility. Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Ability to multitask with ease, simultaneously working on various projects/tasks. 12 Lead Competent.
