Schedule/Hours:
Flexible travel assignment (specific shifts discussed during interview)
Key Responsibilities:
Complete patient assessments upon admission, addressing physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual factors Conduct ongoing patient reassessments each shift or as condition warrants, collecting and utilizing comprehensive clinical data Develop and regularly update individualized plans of care based on current data and evolving patient needs Administer medications and treatments in adherence with the "7 rights," carefully documenting outcomes and monitoring for adverse effects Perform procedures following clinical standards, hospital policies, infection control, and privacy protocols Document nursing interventions, pain management, educational efforts, and progression towards patient goals thoroughly and legibly Educate patients and families according to identified needs, leveraging educational tools where appropriate Analyze diagnostic findings, communicating urgent changes using SBAR and executing timely interventions Engage in patient-centered multidisciplinary planning, uphold safety and confidentiality, and participate in all relevant hospital codes and emergency protocols Adhere to Core Measures, vaccine guidelines, and infection prevention standards
Qualifications:
Active, unencumbered RN license Recent experience in medical-surgical nursing Strong critical thinking and effective communication skills Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and technology
