Labor and Delivery Nurse Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team in Salida, Colorado. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to mothers and babies during labor and childbirth. You will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals to ensure a safe and positive delivery experience.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist in the delivery of babies, monitoring the vital signs of both mother and baby Monitor and assess fetal heart rate Administer medications and assist with pain management during labor Monitor and assist with the progress of labor Educate and support expectant mothers and their families Document patient information, including medical history and progress during labor and delivery Work collaboratively with physicians, healthcare professionals, and other staff members.
Qualifications and Skills:
Valid RN license in the state of Colorado Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
