Job Description
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California Previous experience within a school setting or as a school nurse is highly preferred Proficiency and confidence in seizure management and related protocols Experience providing 1:1 nursing care, ideally with pediatric populations Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with students, staff, and families Willingness to ride the school bus with the student to ensure safety and continuity of careKey Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized nursing care to an elementary student during the entire school day, including on school transportation Monitor and respond promptly to health needs and emergencies—especially seizure activity Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate health records in accordance with school and legal guidelines Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support the student's educational and health goals Foster a supportive, safe, and welcoming environment for the student at school and during transportation This contract-based opportunity offers a fulfilling way to apply your specialized nursing skills while making a genuine impact in a child's life.
