Position Overview Tekberry is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Research Nurse to support our client within the Stanford Prevention Research Center (SPRC). This role supports clinical research studies focused on disease prevention, health promotion, and chronic disease management, including research related to cancer prevention, well-being, and Asian American health. The Research Nurse will independently manage the clinical components of participant visits, ensuring research protocols are followed while delivering exceptional care to study participants. Responsibilities Conduct participant visits in accordance with study protocols and regulatory requirements Obtain vital signs and perform clinical assessments, including: Height, weight, waist, hip, and arm circumference measurements 12-lead ECGs using sponsor-provided equipment Spirometry assessments Collect biological specimens, including: Blood samples Urine samples Saliva samples Administer protocol-required medications, including inhaled medications such as albuterol Monitor participants for adverse events and respond appropriately in accordance with study protocols Educate and support research participants throughout study participation Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), study protocols, and regulatory standards Document clinical activities accurately within study databases and source records Assist with electronic data capture and study documentation management Provide work direction and support to research staff as appropriate Collaborate with investigators and research teams to ensure successful study execution Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent education and experience Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably within a research environment Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification Strong clinical skills, including: Venipuncture and blood collection Clinical assessments Patient education and support Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory compliance requirements Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Experience with electronic documentation systems and data entry Preferred Qualifications Clinical research nursing experience Experience working with diverse participant populations Familiarity with protocol-driven research environments Experience identifying and documenting adverse events Knowledge of research regulations and study implementation processes Work Environment & Physical Requirements 100% onsite role in a clinical research setting Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and participant interaction Regular use of computers and electronic research systems Frequent performance of clinical procedures, including specimen collection Occasional reaching and operation of clinical equipment Ability to meet the physical demands associated with participant assessments and study procedures We need hard-working, reliable employees.
