JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience:
    3 years in PACU. Ambulatory Surgery Center and Charge Exp Req
  • CA RN License
  • Certs:
    BLS and ACLS
  • FLU VACCINE (no exemptions/no declinations)

Conduct clinical instruction sessions, workshops, and hands-on training to enhance staff competencies in patient care, medical documentation, and medical terminology. Serve as a preceptor for new nurses and clinical staff, providing mentorship and guidance to promote confidence and skill mastery. Ensure compliance with health regulation policies, HIPAA privacy standards, and state healthcare regulations through ongoing education initiatives. Evaluate clinical staff performance through observations and assessments; provide constructive feedback to support professional growth. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and acute care practices to deliver accurate training content. Collaborate with hospital leadership to identify training gaps; develop strategies for continuous improvement in clinical practices. Facilitate interdisciplinary team training sessions focused on patient safety, hospital protocols, and regulatory compliance. Utilize Microsoft Office tools for documentation, reporting outcomes of training programs, and maintaining educational records. Lead efforts in training staff on medical records management, medical documentation standards, and the use of electronic health record systems. Requirements Proven nursing experience with a minimum of three years in critical care environments such as ICU or acute care units. Prior experience working in hospitals, nursing homes, or teaching hospitals with exposure to diverse patient populations including pediatrics. Demonstrated expertise in clinical staff training, precepting, or nursing leadership roles. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA and state-specific healthcare policies. Proficiency in medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and documentation practices. Excellent communication skills suited for adult education and team leadership roles. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications for administrative tasks related to training programs. Ability to adapt teaching methods to varied learning styles within diverse healthcare teams. Certification in nursing education or relevant professional development credentials is preferred.
