In this vital role, you will provide expert patient care across various medical settings, ensuring the highest standards of safety, comfort, and treatment. Your expertise will support patient recovery, manage complex medical conditions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed health histories. Administer medications and treatments accurately, including injections, IV infusions, and medication management in accordance with physicians' orders. Utilize advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as Epic, Cerner, and eClinicalWorks to document patient information precisely and efficiently. Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization (including urinary and vascular), tube feeding management, and sterile technique adherence. Monitor patients' physiological status using telemetry and ventilator support; respond swiftly to acute changes or emergencies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and long-term care strategies for diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, neonatal, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical records for legal documentation and quality assurance purposes. Skills Proven experience working in critical care environments such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), Level I/II Trauma Centers, or Emergency Rooms with trauma medicine expertise. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and laboratory procedures. Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems like Cerner or Epic for accurate documentation and patient tracking. Skilled in performing complex procedures including IV insertion, phlebotomy, dialysis support, ostomy care, and infection control practices. Experience managing acute pain and providing hospice & palliative care for terminally ill patients. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations such as seniors in memory or assisted living facilities; children in pediatric or neonatal units; individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs. Excellent critical thinking skills combined with physical stamina to handle high-pressure situations confidently while maintaining compassionate patient-centered care.
