Job Description

Clinical School Nursing Supervisor -Ventura / Santa Barbara County Are you a skilled and compassionate RN with a strong school nursing background ready to step into a leadership role? Ro Health is seeking a Clinical School Nursing Supervisor to support our school-based nursing program in Ventura County and the surrounding South Santa Barbara County area. In this role, you'll conduct site visits, provide hands-on clinical oversight, and play a key part in shaping the experience and support our nurses receive - drawing on your firsthand knowledge of what great school nursing looks like in practice.
Overview Location:
Ventura County or Santa Barbara County, CA (candidates based in Santa Barbara should be open to traveling to South Ventura County as needed)
Status:
Part-Time /
Per Diem Compensation:
$50-$55/hr, depending on experience Expected hours: 2-3 days of availability per week during peak season (start of school year), then on an as-needed basis Why Ro Health Competitive compensation with weekly paychecks Supportive team environment with experienced clinical colleagues and full back-end support Career development and advancement opportunities Travel bonuses and mileage reimbursement Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Vanguard 401(k) with up to 4% employer match Paid time off and holidays Continuing education and professional development assistance Responsibilities Conduct site visits to observe, assess, and support nurses in school-based settings Supervise, mentor, and support nurses providing care in school-based or community settings Shape and elevate the provider experience through hands-on guidance and meaningful feedback Provide clinical guidance, field supervision, and performance feedback Support onboarding, training, and continued development of new and experienced nurses Create and oversee individualized care plans for students Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, documentation, and best practices Collaborate with school districts, families, and Ro Health internal teams Participate in client meetings and represent Ro Health professionally Contribute to quality assurance and program development efforts Qualifications Active CA RN License (Required); CSN preferred School nursing experience with a strong understanding of what quality school-based care looks like; retired school nurses are strongly encouraged to apply Based in Ventura or Santa Barbara County, with familiarity of the region; Santa Barbara-based candidates should be open to traveling to South Ventura County as needed Highly organized with strong communication and leadership skills Outgoing and personable; comfortable engaging with clients, school staff, and partners Passion for teaching, mentoring, and investing in nurse success Preferred skills Medication administration in school settings G-tube care and feeding Catheterization experience Tracheostomy care Behavioral health or special education support Experience with seizure disorders or diabetes management About Ro Health Ro Health is a rapidly growing healthcare staffing agency with over a decade of experience placing high-quality healthcare professionals nationwide.
