36 hours/week Roles & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care in an 8-bed ICU within an acute-care setting. Care for primarily medical ICU patients with a variety of critical-care diagnoses. Maintain 1:1-2 patient ratios depending on acuity and staffing. Manage patients requiring ventilator support and continuous monitoring. Monitor and interpret EKG/telemetry strips . Collaborate with hospitalists/intensivists, respiratory therapists, pharmacy, and other healthcare professionals. Provide accurate and timely clinical documentation using Cerner EMR . Participate in bedside report and follow established ICU protocols. Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and prioritize patient safety. Be prepared to float to sister Sacramento facilities and the Med-Surg unit at Woodland when required. Travelers are first to float . Mid-shift floating to another facility is rare but may occur. Participate in holiday rotation with core staff. Additional and overtime shifts may be available. Qualifications Active RN license required. Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required. Travel nursing experience preferred. Strong critical-care assessment and patient-management skills. Experience with ventilated patients and telemetry/EKG interpretation. BSN not required. Driver's license required at submission. Required Certifications BLS
