Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong knowledge of individualized health plans, chronic condition management, and emergency protocols Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, families, and school staff Ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities across different schools Ability to train and delegate health tasks according to Colorado regulations

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee medication administration and complete accurate documentation Coordinate care for students with chronic or complex health conditions such as diabetes, seizures, asthma, and severe allergies Train and delegate health-related responsibilities to appropriate school staff Support students with health needs related to IEPs and Section 504 plans, attending meetings as needed Ensure immunization compliance and assist with state-required health reporting Develop and provide staff training on emergency medications, health protocols, and student medical needs Maintain ongoing communication with parents, medical providers, administrators, and school teams This contract position allows you to build collaborative relationships, empower staff, and make a profound impact supporting student health district-wide.
