Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based nursing role for the 2026/2027 academic year, where your expertise will directly impact students across multiple campuses near Aurora, CO. This full-time contract position is ideal for those who thrive in collaborative educational environments and are passionate about supporting K-12 students' health and well-being. In this district-wide opportunity, you'll be responsible for supporting five closely situated school sites—easily accessible on foot—making it convenient to serve the entire student population. Your skills in health care and leadership will be utilized daily as you collaborate with educational professionals to ensure a safe, healthy campus for all.
Qualifications & Required Experience:
Active CDE Professional Special Services - School Nurse License in Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) with a background in pediatric, community, or school nursing Previous experience with K-12 populations preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to provide professional training and guidance to school staff
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage a diverse K-12 student caseload across five schools Deliver training sessions to staff covering CPR, First Aid, and Delegation of Duties Promote student health by developing care plans, managing chronic conditions, and responding to emergencies Support compliance with state and district health protocols and documentation Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff Imagine yourself as a leader and advocate for student well-being, working with dedicated educators in a supportive environment where your impact is far-reaching.
