Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - MS Oncology Job Type Travel Step into a collaborative, award-winning environment, providing exceptional care to individuals facing blood cancers and oncology diagnoses. This contract opportunity invites an experienced Registered Nurse with strong Med-Surg Oncology skills to contribute to a skilled team renowned for its achievements and supportive culture.
Schedule:
Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00
AM Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
Active RN license and BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of recent acute hospital oncology nursing experience
Preferred:
Chemo and biotherapy certification Step-down or acute hematology experience considered a plus Compassion for oncology and chronic care patients Adaptable, quick learner with effective team communication
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct, evidence-based care to patients on a busy blood cancer unit Implement standing orders, including administering medications, blood, and electrolyte replacements Monitor and manage complex patients with varying levels of acuity Support procedures including lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies, and thoracentesis (with and without sedation) Maintain rigorous adherence to safety protocols, including safe handling of hazardous medications and patient excreta Collaborate with peers in a primary nursing model, fostering a team-first approach to patient outcomes
