9650981-80741 Job Description Embark on a dynamic and rewarding assignment supporting K-12 students across several school buildings and educational programs near Merino, CO. This contract opportunity starts as soon as possible and extends through 12/18/26, with a flexible schedule offering between 16 and 32 hours per week to accommodate both routine and evolving healthcare needs. As a key healthcare provider in an educational setting, you'll champion student wellness while adapting daily to the needs of a district-wide caseload of 25-30 students. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, from direct assistance with individual healthcare plans to broader health program coordination across elementary, middle, and high school environments.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

Active RN license and eligibility to practice in Colorado Prior pediatric, school nursing, or public health experience preferred Strong organizational skills to manage ever-changing priorities across multiple sites Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams of educators, staff, and families Knowledge of health care planning for chronic conditions, IEP/504 processes, and emergency response protocols

What You Will Do:

Oversee medication administration and maintain accurate documentation Coordinate and provide care for students with chronic or complex conditions such as diabetes, asthma, seizures, and severe allergies Train and delegate health-related tasks to appropriate school personnel in line with Colorado regulations Support students covered by IEPs and Section 504 plans, including participation in meetings as needed Monitor immunization compliance and assist with other required health reporting to state agencies Guide staff on emergency medications and individualized health protocols Foster ongoing communication among families, providers, administrators, and school teams If youre a compassionate and adaptable RN seeking a meaningful position impacting students district-wide, apply today to take the next step in your school nursing career.
