Operating Room Circulating Nurse Shift - 3x12 Days Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Operating Room Circulating Nurse, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and success of surgical procedures. As a key member of the surgical team, you will coordinate patient care before, during, and after operations, while maintaining strict adherence to aseptic techniques and hospital protocols. Duties Act as the primary liaison between the surgical team and other hospital departments to coordinate all aspects of operative procedures. Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment, supplies, and instruments are sterile, functional, and readily available. Assist in patient positioning and safety measures to optimize surgical access while preventing injury. Monitor aseptic technique throughout procedures to maintain infection control standards and prevent contamination. Document intraoperative events accurately in medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems. Support surgeons by passing instruments, managing specimen collection/processing, and ensuring proper functioning of surgical devices like ventilators and suction units. Respond swiftly to intraoperative emergencies such as airway issues or acute pain management needs while coordinating with anesthesia providers and other specialists. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times. Requirements Proven experience working as a circulating nurse in an operating room setting.
