Job Description
Registered Nurse - Emergency Department / Medical-Surgical HRforGrowth® is engaged as the talent acquisition partner to conduct this search on behalf of a client organization that is hiring for this role. Our Client is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide coverage across both Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical services. This role requires an adaptable RN who is comfortable working across both clinical settings, managing varying patient acuity, and floating between departments based on facility needs.

$50 - $55 per hourSchedule:
12-hour night shifts, 6:00 PM-6:00 AM The ideal candidate will have relevant Emergency Department and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience, strong clinical judgment, and the flexibility to work across both areas in a dynamic hospital environment. Key Responsibilities- Provide safe, competent nursing care within both Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical settings.
- Float between Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical areas as required.
- Assess patients, develop and implement appropriate plans of care, and monitor patient responses.
- Manage patient needs in an environment with an approximate 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.
- Utilize Cerner EMR for clinical documentation, communication, and patient-care workflows.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.
- Adapt nursing care to changing patient acuity, clinical conditions, and unit needs.
- Follow established clinical, safety, and infection-control practices. Required Skills & Experience
- Active Registered Nurse license appropriate for the assignment.
- Relevant Emergency Department and/or Medical-Surgical RN experience.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current PALS certification.
- Prior travel assignment experience.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
- Ability and willingness to float between Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical areas.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-care skills. Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC certification preferred but not required.
- Cerner EMR experience preferred. Additional Requirements
- This assignment is open to both local and travel candidates.
- Candidates must reside at least 1 mile from the assignment location.
- Weekend shifts are required, with weekend rotation approximately every third weekend.
- Floating between Emergency Department and Medical-Surgical areas is required.
- No on-call requirement.
- Candidates must be available for the full 13-week assignment .
