Job Description

WCS Healthcare is working with a State-Run Facility seeking dedicated RNs to support individuals receiving mental health services. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses with psychiatric, behavioral health, OPWDD, developmental disabilities, or related experience. Position Details 3 Positions Available 6-Month Assignment 24 Hours Per Week Opportunity to pick up additional shifts

4:00 PM - 12:30 AM 3rd
Shift:
12:15 AM - 8:15 AM Please indicate your preferred shift when applying Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments under the direction of physicians, psychiatrists, and other authorized providers Conduct assessments, risk evaluations, and contribute to individualized care plans Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team to support patient care Monitor, evaluate, and report changes in patients' mental and physical health status Provide wound care and other nursing interventions as needed Document care accurately within medical records Maintain controlled substance records and medication security Utilize therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques Respond to psychiatric and medical emergencies Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment Provide emotional support to patients and families Participate in training, rehabilitation, and treatment interventions as appropriate Qualifications Active NYS RN License Previous experience in Psychiatric, Behavioral Health, Developmental Disabilities, OPWDD, Corrections, or Long-Term Care settings preferred Strong assessment, communication, and crisis intervention skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Apply today for immediate consideration and be sure to indicate your preferred shift (2nd or 3rd) when submitting your application.
