A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Niantic, CT Schedule:
Full-Time Hours:
5:00 AM - 12:00 PM 5 shifts per week Potential Tuesday through Saturday schedule Immediate opening Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing clinical evaluations. Conduct detoxification assessments and implement detox protocols as appropriate. Monitor and assess patients experiencing alcohol and substance withdrawal symptoms. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols. Assist with and monitor treatment plans involving Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD). Recognize and respond to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition. Accurately document patient care, assessments, and treatment outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health professionals, and multidisciplinary care teams. Qualifications Active Connecticut RN License required. Previous nursing experience required. Addiction treatment experience strongly preferred.Experience with:
Patient assessments Detox assessments and detoxification protocols Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) Alcohol withdrawal monitoring and assessment BLS Certification required.
