Daily Duties Physician Support:
Following the physician during patient visits, collecting medical history, and assisting with clinical procedures.
Patient Intake:
Weighing and measuring children, tracking growth charts, obtaining vital signs, administering childhood vaccines and performing POC tests.
Staff Resource:
Serving as the go-to clinical expert for floor nurses, answering practice questions, and troubleshooting issues.
Team Training:
Onboarding new clinic staff, teaching office protocols, and explaining clinical workflows.
Inventory Control:
Ordering vaccines, managing medical supplies, and monitoring refrigerator temperature logs.
Required Skills License:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) in Connecticut. Additional preferred qualifications
Leadership:
Experience managing clinical lab operations.
Experience:
Strong background in pediatric nursing and experience leading or mentoring other nurses. Experience with State Vaccine Programs (like VFC) and staff training.
Traits:
Gentle bedside manner with children, enjoys overseeing operations, has an approachable mentoring style, and shows excellent clinical judgment.
