We are looking for flexibility between at least two of the following locations: Hamden, Middlebury, and Milford.
Duties Patient Care:
Provide direct patient care, including initiating intravenous access efficiently, administering medications, vitamin/mineral infusions, intramuscular injections, monitoring vital signs, and obtaining lab work per protocol. Staff nurse updates the provider in regards to the patient's medical history, allergies and medications. Any significant past medical history is communicated in a timely manner to the provider along with associated treatment plans as directed by the provider. Ensure consistent, exceptional patient care with every visit.Patient Education:
Educate patients and their families about Pulse IV Therapy services including specific medications, vitamins, minerals, and treatment plans. Post-discharge follow up is appropriately discussed with the patient at the end of services and reasons to contact the office.Patient Assessment:
Assess patients' conditions by conducting through evaluations and using clinical judgment to identify potential issues during services. Notifying the provider in a timely manner if clinical issues/concerns are noted during the patient encounter. Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations, following Pulse emergency protocols.Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes. Updating patients' flags after every service and successfully editing membership information if needed to assure accuracy. Assuring the applicable consent form for the patient's specific service is signed by the patient at time of visit.Infection control:
Maintaining a clean and organized reception/patient care area including the waiting room area. Assure that chairs, tables, headphones, and blankets are cleaned in between patients' services. Keeping the medication room clean, stocked, and organized. Assure medication fridge is clean and maintaining appropriate temperature.Safety and Compliance:
Ensure that all procedures are performed in accordance with Pulse IV Therapy protocols. This includes that all equipment is used safely and following infection control protocols. Requirements Valid CT RN license in good standing Proficiency in IV skills required BLS certification Valid Malpractice insuranceBenefits:
