A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Matter:
Lead the facility's infection prevention and control program through surveillance, audits, data analysis, and quality improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with infection control regulations by monitoring practices, investigating outbreaks, and implementing corrective actions. Develop and deliver staff education, orientation, and ongoing clinical training to support regulatory compliance and quality care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify training needs, promote best practices, and improve resident outcomes. Maintain infection control records, monitor trends, and serve as a clinical resource for infection prevention and staff development. Qualifications for
Success:
Active, unencumbered CT or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) licensure 2+ years prior experience in infection prevention and control, staff development, and regulatory compliance with CMS, CDC, OSHA, and Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH) standards preferred. ICP certification preferred Current CPR certifications, including BLS RN Ability to communicate fluently in English - both verbally and written Benefits for
