Full time, 32 hours/week, Non-Exempt Company Summary Nephrology Associates, P.A. is the largest single specialty practice caring for patients with kidney disease and hypertension in the State of Delaware and Cecil County, MD. Established in 1974, Nephrology Associates has earned the trust of patients and the respect of the local medical community for nearly five decades. Our board-certified nephrologists and mid-level providers are experts in the management of hypertension, chronic kidney disease, acute renal failure, end-stage renal disease, kidney transplantation, kidney stones, and other kidney-related disorders. Position Summary The Registered Nurse role is a part of the interventional team, ensuring safe and efficient patient care throughout the procedural process. This role works collaboratively with physicians, nursing and administrative staff to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care. Nephrology Associates - ASC in Milford, DE office is looking for an RN who has at least 1 year of experience in a critical care setting and/or Interventional lab. Patient Care Activities- Perform pre and post procedure evaluation
- Intraprocedural monitoring and post procedural recovery
- Administration of pain and sedation medication as directed by physician
- Work as part of the Interventional team to ensure safe and efficient patient care Telephone Responsibilities
- Call patients to confirm appointments, make follow-up calls and answer questions.
- Consult physician as required and communicate physician instructions to patient.
- Obtains verbal consents over the phone from patients with POA EHR
- Review EHR clinical charts including lab values, studies ordered and hospitalizations, notify physician if needed.
- Accurately and consistently enter information into patient charts according to our center's policies.

- Coordinate scheduling with office staff and providers.
- Assist patients and physicians as needed
- Provide patient education; review discharge instructions with patients.
- Advocate for patients in regard to understanding discharge instructions, medication changes or studies requested by the physician.
- Maintain supplies and equipment
- Provide back-up to scheduling department as needed.
Education and Experience Requirements Minimum Education:
Associate's degree from a state approved or National League of Nursing accreditedSchool of Nursing Minimum Experience:
1 year of experience in an ambulatory surgical center or outpatient setting; experience with nephrology and dialysis patients preferred, critical care and interventional procedures strongly preferred. Moderate Sedation Certification preferredRequired Certifications:
ACLS Certification BLS Certification RN License Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Advanced knowledge of nursing and health care terminology.
- Work consistent with HIPPA and OSHA regulation.
- Experience with MS Office Suite and Electronic medical records (EMR)
- Excellent patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently but also collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effectively communicate with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to cope with stressful situations, providing compassionate care to patients, their families, and colleagues.
- Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and hygiene practices are required.
- Must be able to perform CPR.
- Must have reliable transportation in the event of having to travel to other offices.
