Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate PACU Registered Nurse to support a boutique fertility clinic in the Miami area. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with fertility, reproductive endocrinology, IVF, or outpatient procedural recovery experience who enjoys providing personalized, patient-centered care. The PACU RN will provide safe post-anesthesia and post-procedure care to patients undergoing fertility-related procedures, including egg retrievals and other outpatient reproductive treatments.

Approximately one week per month
Hours:
Five days during the scheduled week Additional shifts may become available based on procedural volume Responsibilities Provide direct recovery care to patients following fertility-related procedures. Monitor airway, respiratory status, circulation, pain level, vital signs, and level of consciousness. Assess patients for complications related to anesthesia, sedation, or procedures. Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as ordered. Provide preoperative and postoperative patient education. Support patients with sensitivity, discretion, and compassion throughout the recovery process. Collaborate closely with fertility physicians, anesthesia providers, nurses, and clinical staff. Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation. Follow infection-control, medication-safety, and emergency-response protocols. Confirm that patients meet discharge criteria and provide clear discharge instructions. Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations. Requirements Active Florida Registered Nurse license in good standing. Minimum of two years of recent PACU, post-anesthesia, surgical recovery, or procedural nursing experience. Previous experience in fertility, reproductive endocrinology, IVF, women's health, or an outpatient fertility clinic is required. Current BLS certification. Current ACLS certification. Strong IV, patient-assessment, medication-administration, and airway-monitoring skills. Experience caring for patients following moderate sedation or anesthesia. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment. Excellent communication, documentation, and patient-support skills. Reliable availability for approximately one full week per month. Preferred Qualifications Experience assisting with or recovering patients after egg retrieval procedures. Familiarity with fertility medications and IVF treatment protocols. Previous ambulatory surgery center or reproductive endocrinology experience. PALS certification is a plus.
