HCA Healthcare is seeking an experienced RN for our Labor & Delivery team. In this role, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns through all stages of labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum. Responsibilities include monitoring fetal and maternal status, administering medications, supporting vaginal and cesarean births, and responding to obstetric emergencies. You will collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team, educate and support families, and document care accurately. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum Continuously monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs, interpreting and responding to changes Administer medications, IV therapies, and epidural support per provider orders and protocols Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, ensuring a safe and supportive environment Recognize and respond promptly to obstetric and neonatal emergencies Educate and support patients and families on labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and allied health professionals Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards Participate in ongoing education, skills training, and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Labor and delivery nursing Fetal monitoring Maternal and newborn assessment IV therapy and medication administration Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Emergency response and resuscitation Postpartum care Patient and family education Interdisciplinary care coordination Infection control and safety protocols
