Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Procedure Suite Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert nursing care within the procedure suite, supporting a variety of outpatient procedures across multiple specialties. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient experiences while maintaining compliance with all healthcare standards and protocols. Duties Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical histories, explaining procedures, and ensuring informed consent is obtained. Assist physicians and specialists during procedures using minimally invasive techniques. Maintain sterile technique and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and functioning correctly before procedures. Monitor patient vital signs, manage acute pain, and respond swiftly to any adverse reactions or emergencies during procedures. Document detailed medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems, including procedure notes, medication administration, and patient assessments. Administer medications and injections following strict protocols. Provide post-procedure care instructions to patients Skills Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation. Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Experience working with diverse patient populations Skilled in performing venipuncture and specimen collection/processing. Familiarity with advanced clinical procedures such as ICU care, PCU care, trauma medicine and critical care response procedures. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to manage complex cases involving pain management or post-acute care needs. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with critical thinking to triage effectively in urgent situations. Capable of working in fast-paced environments such as emergency rooms or surgical suites while maintaining a high standard of safety and quality care.
