Job Description

Overview Join a dedicated Emergency Department team committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. As an ER Registered Nurse, you'll assess, treat, and monitor patients with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality emergency care. This role is ideal for an RN with at least one year of acute care emergency department experience who thrives under pressure, demonstrates strong clinical judgment, and is passionate about making a difference in patients' lives. Duties Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department. Assess, monitor, and document patients' conditions, symptoms, and vital signs. Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed. Develop, implement, and update individualized patient care plans. Respond quickly and effectively to medical emergencies using sound clinical judgment. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Interpret diagnostic results and communicate significant findings to the care team. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records. Assist with emergency procedures, admissions, transfers, and discharges. Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise nursing support staff as needed. Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards. Support a positive, collaborative work environment and assist with mentoring new staff and students when appropriate. Requirements Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Active Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license required. Florida licensure must be obtained within 60 days of relocation, if applicable. Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills. Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) documentation. Pay:
$24.00 - $45.90 per hour
