Job Description

Role:
Registered Nurse for a Stepdown Unit in a travel position, providing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to medical-surgical units.
Responsibilities:
Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, administer medications, assist with cardiac procedures, observe patient responses, respond to emergencies, document assessments, educate patients on cardiac health, collaborate with healthcare teams, and ensure safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
One year of recent Stepdown RN experience, valid RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications. Preferred certifications include PCCN and NIHSS. Must demonstrate critical thinking, communication, physical stamina, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
Key Duties:
Provide specialized cardiac care, manage complex patient needs, interpret telemetry data, support multidisciplinary teams, and maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
