Join HCA Healthcare as a PRN Registered Nurse in our Cath Lab, providing specialized care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. You will assess, monitor, and advocate for patients before, during, and after procedures, manage sedation and hemodynamic monitoring, and respond quickly to emergent situations. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures Perform pre-, intra-, and post-procedure assessments and continuous hemodynamic and EKG monitoring Administer medications and moderate sedation per protocol and physician orders Assist cardiologists and technologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures Respond to emergencies, including Code situations, following ACLS guidelines Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR and ensure regulatory compliance Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and follow-up care Adhere to strict infection control, safety, and quality standards in the cath lab Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Support on-call or flexible PRN scheduling needs of the cath lab as required Required Skills Cardiac catheterization procedures Hemodynamic monitoring EKG interpretation Moderate sedation administration Vascular access management Infection control Electronic health records (EHR) Emergency response (Code Blue) Patient and family education Interdisciplinary team collaboration
