Job Description
Overview SHR Talent is partnering with a healthcare client in the Palatka, Florida area in its search for Emergency Room Registered Nurses (ER RNs) . These opportunities are ideal for experienced Emergency Department nurses who thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. Available on evening and night shifts with rotating weekends , the ER RN will provide comprehensive emergency nursing care while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver timely, compassionate, and evidence-based treatment. This position is eligible for a $10,000 sign on bonus until 9/25/2026. The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will assess, prioritize, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and urgent medical conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to respond effectively in rapidly changing situations while maintaining a patient-centered approach to care. Responsibilities:
Assess, prioritize, and deliver high-quality emergency nursing care for patients presenting with a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor clinical status, and promptly identify and communicate changes in patient condition Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other treatments in accordance with physician orders and established nursing protocols Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized plans of care Interpret diagnostic tests, monitor patient responses to treatment, and modify nursing interventions as clinically appropriate Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and emergency interventions while providing emotional support to patients and families Educate patients and caregivers regarding diagnoses, medications, discharge instructions, follow-up care, and disease prevention strategies Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharge planning to promote continuity of care and efficient patient throughput Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record while ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational standards Support infection prevention initiatives, delegate responsibilities appropriately, and contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on patient safety and quality outcomesQualifications:
Degree Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred License(s) or Certification(s) Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact RN license required Florida licensure must be obtained within 60 days of relocation for Compact license holders Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 30 days of employment Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 30 days of employment Job Experience and/or Industry Experience Minimum of one year of acute care Emergency Department nursing experience required Experience caring for high-acuity emergency patients preferred Experience with emergency stabilization, trauma care, cardiac emergencies, stroke patients, and critical care interventions preferred Software Skills Experience utilizing Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) and Microsoft Office applications preferred Other Skills Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and emergency decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Emergency Department while managing multiple high-priority patients simultaneously Strong organizational skills with a commitment to patient safety, quality care, and exceptional customer servicePosition Highlights:
