HCA Healthcare seeks a skilled RN to join our Cardiovascular/EKG team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide direct patient care to cardiac patients, perform and interpret EKGs, monitor telemetry, administer medications, and respond to cardiac events using evidence-based protocols. You will collaborate closely with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans, educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, and ensure accurate, timely documentation. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to cardiovascular patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation Perform, monitor, and interpret EKGs and telemetry, promptly reporting and acting on abnormal findings Administer medications, including cardiac drips, following physician orders and hospital protocols Respond to cardiac and medical emergencies, applying ACLS and emergency response procedures Collaborate with cardiologists and the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust patient care plans Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, medications, and lifestyle modifications Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR and ensure compliance with regulatory standards Follow infection control, safety, and quality guidelines to support optimal patient outcomes Participate in ongoing professional development, competencies, and skills training as required Support a culture of compassion, teamwork, and patient-centered care aligned with HCA Healthcare values Required Skills Cardiac and EKG monitoring Cardiovascular assessment Telemetry interpretation IV medication administration ACLS protocols Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation Patient and family education Care coordination Clinical triage and prioritization Infection control and patient safety
