A Cardiology Registered Nurse provides care for patients with heart problems. Performs cardiac tests and assessments, educates patients and families about cardiac disease and preventative health care, and cares for patients after heart surgery. Works with specialized monitoring and treatment equipment. Trained to provide emergency medical care to cardiac patients. Works under the supervision of a physician. Works in hospital cardiology or intensive care units or cardiac rehabilitation programs.

Assist physicians with patient management. Instruct and educate patients and families. Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care.

Qualifications and Job Info:

1-2 years of recent Cath Lab experience BLS/ACLS/PALS and NRP certification Active state nursing license Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members.
