A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

- Summary:
- The Procedural RN responsibilities include:
- + RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards + RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team + RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization + RN also performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned This position requires a minimum of two years RN experience.
At least 1 year RN experience in Endoscopy, PACU, or Critical Care is preferred. Endoscopy RN experience is strongly preferred as this is an Endoscopy position.
- Certifications and Licensures:
- + BLS (Basic Life Support) + RN (Registered Nurse) + ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department + Preferred Nurse Specialty
- Education:
- + Associate's Nursing or Diploma Nursing + Preferred Bachelor's Nursing
- Experience:
- + Required 2 years RN experience + Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
