HCA Healthcare is seeking Registered Nurse Residents to join our comprehensive nurse residency program. This role is ideal for recent nursing graduates eager to develop strong clinical skills in a supportive, patient-centered environment. Residents participate in structured classroom learning, simulation, and precepted clinical rotations across our healthcare and medical services departments. You will provide direct patient care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and learn best practices in safety, documentation, and patient advocacy. Responsibilities Participate fully in structured nurse residency curriculum, including classes, simulations, and competency assessments Provide safe, evidence-based direct patient care under the guidance of a preceptor Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and recognize changes in patient condition Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the electronic health record (EHR) Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and quality standards and participate in performance improvement initiatives Develop time-management, prioritization, and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced clinical setting Maintain professional communication and uphold HCA Healthcare values of compassion, integrity, and teamwork Pursue ongoing learning and professional development opportunities within HCA Healthcare Required Skills Patient assessment Medication administration Electronic Health Records (EHR) documentation IV therapy and venipuncture Basic life support and emergency response Wound care and dressing changes Care planning and care coordination Infection prevention and control Clinical documentation and charting accuracy Patient and family education
