HCA Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Cape Coral Free-Standing Emergency Department. In this role, you'll deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients with emergent and urgent needs. You will perform triage, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient status, and collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary team. You'll use advanced ED technology, maintain accurate documentation, and support quality and safety initiatives. Responsibilities Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to emergency patients in a free-standing ED setting Triage, assess, and monitor patients, documenting conditions and response to treatment Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols Collaborate with physicians, ED techs, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care Operate and monitor emergency department equipment and interpret basic diagnostic data Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care instructions Participate in emergency response, including codes, rapid response, and trauma situations Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records and ensure regulatory compliance Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and best-practice standards Support and mentor colleagues, embracing HCA's culture of compassion, learning, and teamwork Required Skills Emergency nursing Patient triage IV therapy and medication administration Cardiac monitoring and ECG interpretation Basic and advanced life support procedures Wound care and emergency interventions Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Patient and family education Infection control and safety protocols Interdisciplinary care coordination
