Coordinates surgery scheduling with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure timely and efficient operations. Organizes and maintains patient records, surgical reports, and other relevant documents accurately and securely. Collaborates with medical staff, administrative personnel, and patients to ensure seamless communication and effective teamwork. Stays updated with the latest surgical techniques, protocols, and best practices through continuous education and training. Manages the surgical database to ensure accurate and up-to-date information. Generates reports and analyzes data to support surgical services. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies. Provides training and support to staff on database usage and best practices. Monitors and improves data quality and integrity. Assists in the development and implementation of new database systems and processes. Troubleshoots and resolves database-related issues. Participates in quality improvement initiatives related to surgical services. Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

[Required] Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. [Required] Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. [Required] Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. [Required] Effective communication among employees, and between employees, patients, visitors and supervisors is essential to ensure quality patient care and to avoid misunderstanding, errors and miscommunications which could have a detrimental effect on the health, safety and well-being of patients and co-workers. [Required] Effectively review patient and related medical records, understand nurse and/or physician verbal and written instructions, read labels of medications and hazardous chemicals. Therefore, to prevent misunderstandings, errors, and miscommunications in the provision of quality patient care and other job-related services, employees in this position are required to have the capability of fluently speaking, reading, and writing English. [Required] Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. [Required] Must have some knowledge and experience in performing the duties associated with: [Required] Ability to keep neat, accurate, concise records. [Required] Effective prioritization skills. [Required] Effective interpersonal and patient contact skills. [Required] Knowledge of universal safety precautions as defined by OSHA. [Required] Able to function in the designated work areas within the identified areas of Surgical Services. [Required] Must have some computer experience, working with a healthcare software computer system is desirable. [Required] Must be able to work in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment; to perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner; to work as part of a team as well as to complete assignments independently; to take instruction from supervisors; to exercise problem-solving skills; and to interact with co-workers, supervisors, guest, patients and the public in a professional and pleasant manner. [Required] Knowledge of AORN standards and Perioperative nursing care. [Required] Computer proficiency. [Required] Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. [Required] Ability to use machines, tools, equipment, and works as necessary to perform job duties in the OR. [Required] Knowledge of how to use Excel, Word, and EMR systems. [Preferred]Education:
