Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care by performing physical examinations, vital signs monitoring, and comprehensive assessments to inform treatment plans. Administer medications and injections accurately following established protocols, including IV infusions and other specialized treatments. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, laboratory processing, and medical imaging procedures. Manage patient documentation using electronic health record (EHR) system PCC, to ensure precise medical records and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support complex care needs including wound care, catheterization, tube feeding, ventilator management, and pain control strategies such as acute pain management and hospice care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless patient transitions. Educate patients and families on health coaching topics including medication management, dementia or Alzheimer's care, nutrition, and discharge planning when applicable. Skills Proficiency with EMR/EHR system PointClickCare (PCC) Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology. Experience in critical care environments including ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; familiarity with trauma protocols is highly valued. Skilled in performing procedures like phlebotomy, venipuncture, sterile technique for specimen collection or catheter care. Capable of managing complex cases involving infectious disease care, respiratory support (ventilators), or emergency medicine scenarios such as airway management or spinal taps. Adept at working with diverse populations including geriatrics (memory care), individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring specialized attention. Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to maintain safety standards across all clinical activities.
